We are in the midst of exams and with them have come the requisite review periods, study sessions, and the inevitable moment when you answer the first question or write the first words of that essay. This cycle repeats for all of our 6th-12th grade students. As they deal with the various stress levels, there are three things that are often overlooked, yet beneficial. 1) Those who prepare are ready, so study and do all you are able to do; 2) Eat a good meal before starting exams - feelings of stress, anxiety, and even depression are caused by low blood sugar; 3) Pray. Not for miraculous results, but for the Lord to use your preparations and efforts to help you recall what you have learned. We all have experienced that gut-wrenching moment when the time has come for "that" exam. In the end, this trial, as with others, is one that prepares you for future challenges.
